Doodle Jump Race is an Apple TV and iPhone game made by Lima Sky in March of 2014.
Gameplay[]
The game is a multiplayer version of Flappy Bird, but with the ability to end a level. The player would tap the screen to make their Doodler move up vertically on the screen. The Doodler would need to pass through the coral pipes to clear a level and win against the other Doodlers.
Trivia[]
- If a Doodler never hits a single coral pipe, a race time of around 20sec (never exactly) is reached.
- The speed of the Doodler is slightly adjusted via RNG every race to either increase the speed or to slow it down.
- Despite the app having "live multiplayer" in the app description and several users assuming the game was online multiplayer, the game is not in fact multiplayer, but rather uses a "ghost" system to keep track of players in races.
- In the iPad OS version of the game, all players and their scores are displayed at the bottom. This is seemingly missing from the iOS and Apple TV versions.
- On the leaderboard, the top scores are (likely) cheated, being 200,000,519 (#1) and 10,000,379 (#2). However, 604,516 is the top legitimate score (placing #3), being achieved by Craig_Tabor.
- The top active players are: Totofraizo (#4 with 501,407), XOliver77 (#5 with 498,044), stupit Alien <3 (#6 with 406,870), and Mullardicus (#7 with 382,270).
